if you want to read my old story. Here's the synopsis though...

Meet Lux Night, a 16 year old witch with very little power. Meet Aeon a human cat that calls himself her guardian angel. Meet Adell, an extremely powerful witch with a superiority complex. Meet Hawthorn, a powerful Mortem Domini with a dangerously playful attitude. Now don't forget the other 100 or so magical creatures, and you have just entered the fantastical town of Nodas.

Here's a sneak preview not out yet...

“What are you?” Hawthorne narrowed his eyes at me and looked suspiciously at the hand gripped in Aeon’s.

“Just a simple, boring witch,” I slipped my hand from Aeon’s and crossed my arms stubbornly, “now are we going to just stand here all day or will you let me leave?”

“I will find out what you're hiding young one,” Hawthorne whispered in my ear menacingly, “it's only a matter of time.”

if you want to read my old story. Here's the synopsis though...

Sometimes the not so ordinary is the only thing we know. For Grace "normal" is going to a boarding school out in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of kids who have wings and kill monsters. But, just like anyone else's "normal" it can be shattered in an instant, with one seemingly innocent mistake.

Here's a short preview...

I can smell the blood from outside the door, the scent of it fills the air in a sickly, suffocating way. I don’t want to go inside, I’m afraid of what I might find; that I might be too late. Caleb puts his warm hand encouragingly on my shoulder and nods his head towards the door. I will never forget that smell, that fear.

It was 3 years ago to the day. This was the first time I had ever killed someone, but I guess it was more of a something by the time I had gotten to it. It was covered in blood with a young girl beneath it, frozen in fear as if the creature might stop if she didn’t try to struggle more. But, it didn’t stop, they never do. My slitch lashed out and ripped his body in two, but it was too late. She was the first and last person I lost before, a slearg consumed her soul.

Now I’m 16 years 2 days and 5 hours old. Or at least as far as my foster father Caleb Glass knows. 16 years and 15 days ago at 2 o’clock Caleb, the principal of Lazaryth Academy, opened the front doors, planning on taking a walk through the forests, when he found me. I was curled up in a blanket, barely old enough to open my eyes, with a letter placed carefully under my tiny fists. It was a short letter, and the only thing I have of my mothers.

Dr. Glass,

Please take care of her. Her name is Grace Rose Water. Her father is gone and I am not like them. I believe you will understand.

        Sarah Water

Of course Caleb immediately tried to find a Sarah Water, who had given birth recently, but either I was born in another state, or my mother knew how to hide well. Caleb took me and gave me a room in the Academy. I was raised by the students and teachers of Lazaryth Academy.

Every day I was trained ruthlessly to fight. When I turned 13 my wings burst from my back and I spent hours screaming in pain. Everyone was shocked and I couldn’t understand why. All of the other children had wings; I didn’t think anything of it. But, soon I realized that I was different. I was cursed with wings unlike the usual black, brown, or white; I had blue wings.
